ANNIE DENESIUK Peacefully, on February 23, 2002, at the Park Manor Personal Care Home, Annie Denesiuk passed away at the age of 94 years. Annie was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1950; her parents, Philip and Mary Chuhie; her four brothers, John, Peter, Metro and Bill; and her three sisters, Inga, Katie and Pearl. Annie will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ed (Joyce), Emil (Evelyn) six grand-children and six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Eva Chuhie and Nellie Denesiuk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Mom was born in 1908 in Poplar Park, MB. After she married Joseph, they moved to Scanterbury. In 1944, they moved to Victoria Beach and raised their family. In 1950, she made her final move to Winnipeg. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and travelling by train to the West Coast to visit her family. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home for their kindness and support. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 27 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral service to follow on Thursday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m., also at the chapel, with Fr. Oliynek officiating. Her pallbearers will be Gord Russell, Barry Denesiuk, Dan Denesiuk, Rick Cameron, Dennis Humeniuk and Dennis Denesiuk. Interment will be in the St. John the Baptist churchyard cemetery in Poplar Park, MB. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
