Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABEL McLENNAN (DU PRE) Peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2002, Dorothy Isabel McLennan passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Predeceased by her husband Don in May 1997, Isabel will be lovingly remembered by her brother Murray (Mary) son John (Robin) daughter Anne Love (Keith) Linda McLennan; grandchildren, Justin and Brandi McLennan and Christopher and Craig Love. The eldest of five children, Isabel was born on April 6, 1913 in Shell River Municipality and lived much of her early life in Roblin. She came into Winnipeg to live with her fathers family on Lloyd Avenue and spent the rest of her life living in Norwood. As a young woman, Isabel worked as a hairdresser. When she and Don were married in 1939, she began a new career as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was always there for her siblings and she spent her life taking care of aunts, uncles and in-laws as well as her own family. Isabel loved to cook, bake, sew, knit and write letters. All her grandchildren looked forward to her special baking and knitting. Norwood United Church was an important part of Isabels life. She taught Sunday school, served on the church board and was a Life Member of the U.C.W. At any church function, she could always be found in the kitchen making tea and coffee. Special thanks to all the ladies in Unit 1 who were her close friends for over 60 years. A warm thank you to all the friends who visited Isabel these past four years. Cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate Isabels life will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Norwood United Church, St. Marys Road and Tache. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Norwood United Church or to a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
