PAUL (PALLI) HJALTALIN PAULSON Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at the Arborg Hospital, Paul (Palli) H. Paulson passed away at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his wife Ingibjorg; daughter Hope (Walter) Latta; sisters, Christine Bjarnason and Emilia Williams; grandchildren, Belinda (Dan) McNaughton, Brenda (Peter) Stafford, Howard (Cathy) Doll, Neil (Dianna) Latta; 10 great-grandchildren, Jesse, Leslie, Celine, Stefan, Hanna, Ellen, Jay, Casey, Jordan and Joshua; and many nieces and nephews who loved him. He was predeceased by his first wife Fjola, his beloved daughter Linda and son-in-law Wesley Doll, grandson Christopher Latta, sister Freida Thorsteinson and brother Bessi Paulson. He was born and lived most of his life at Hecla where he was a fisherman for 60 years. Dad loved being a fisherman and trapper and spent many happy years on Lake Winnipeg, fishing in all seasons. In his later years, he and his wife Ingibjorg lived in Riverton. For the past three years, Dad lived at the Arborg Personal Care Home. He lived a full, rich life and was the anchor of our family. He will be sadly missed but will live on in our hearts always. Go with our love. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hecla Lutheran Church, with Pastor Trudy Sluth officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk and Gimli in care of arrangements.
