Steve was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary in January of 2001. Left to cherish memories are sons, Ron (Heather) and Richard (Arlene) four grandchildren, Susan, Jennifer, Lauren and Lindsey; one great-grandson Justin; three sisters, Mary Powel, Ann Stokes, and Pauline Benson. Born in Stenen, SK on August 17, 1917, Steve spent his early years there. Steve joined the military and spent five years overseas during the Second World War. Dad worked at McCurdy Supply and Ray-O-Vac Canada. His colleagues and supervisors admired Dads work ethic and his willingness to listen to other peoples ideas. Dads concern for his family and his helpful assistance in completing family projects will be sadly missed. Dads grandchildren were a great source of pride for him. He celebrated their accomplishments and gave encouragement to them in their challenges. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of Victoria General Hospital and the Golden Door Geriatrics Centre for their exceptional personal care.
