Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHUBERT LOUIS CANERS Peacefully, on February 23, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Hubert Louis Caners passed away at the age of 67 years. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Mariette; four children, Gilbert, Joanne, Susanne (David) and Norbert; grandson Matthew; brothers and sisters, Sister Florence s.g.m., Clara (Lucien), Helen, Phillip (Pat), Robert (Eva), Norman (Jean), Paul (Rose), Anthony (Mary) and Cecile. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Hubert worked for 13 years as an orderly at the Tache Hospital before starting his own carpentry business. He was a very skilled craftsman and spent 35 years pleasing the people he worked for. Although he worked very hard, he also had time for leisure activities. Hubert loved playing Cribbage and Bowling at a competitive level and also was an avid Curling and Baseball fan. Prayers will be held Tuesday, February 26, at 7:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Viewing will take place Wednesday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass celebrating his life at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Martyrs - Canadiens Paroisse Des 289 Dussault Ave. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Boniface Palliative Care and the homecare workers for their support and kindness.
