EDWIN PETERSON Peacefully in his sleep, Edwin Peterson, aged 67 years of Selkirk, MB. Edwin was born in Winnipeg, MB. He lived in Vancouver for a number of years, where he owned two taxi cabs and invested in both real estate and the stock market. He returned to Winnipeg following early retirement and then moved to Selkirk in 1998. Throughout the rest of his life he remained interested in the action of the stock market and if asked would give investment advice. He was also very proud of his success as a championship bridge player. Edwin was predeceased by his mother Olga Peterson and aunt Haldine Steinkellner, both in 2001. He is survived by a number of cousins, including Ralph Baker of Coquitlam, BC and Carla Hudson of Seattle, Washington, as well as close friends, Dave and Fran Weiss (and family). Edwin will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place, with burial of ashes to be held at a later date. A memorial service in Edwins memory will be held on Wednesday, February 27 at 2:30 p.m. in the Extended Treatment Unit of Selkirk Mental Health Centre with Rev. Mary Holmen officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
