E. MELBA M. SCRASE Melba Scrase, in her 99th year, widow of A.E. (Ted) Scrase, died peacefully in her residence, St. Pauls Home, in Dauphin, MB on February 21, 2002. She was born at Rossburn on January 8, 1904. Melba was a faithful and active member of the Anglican Church and a loyal member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Melba leaves to mourn her death three children, Ross Scrase, wife Joan, Brandon, MB; Gwen Fletcher, Sidney, BC; Corinne Wikjord, husband Wilmer, Medicine Hat, AB. Six grandchildren, Debra Fletcher, Salt Spring Island, BC; Jacqueline Woodcock, husband Bruce, Innisfil, ON; Kerry Scrase, Toronto, ON; Michael Scrase, wife Rachelle, Red Deer, AB; Brenda Laupland, husband Kevin, Calgary, AB; Brett Wikjord, wife Skye, Milton, WA; three great-grandchildren, Sarah Scrase, Red Deer, AB; Elise Laupland, Calgary, AB; Nicolas Woodcock, Innisfil, ON; sister Vivian Arnold, husband Den, Winnipeg, MB; two sisters-in-law, Ena Ross, Victoria, BC; Fran Scrase, Delta, BC; nephew Dave Ross, wife Holly, Dauphin, MB and their family and other nieces and nephews. Melba was predeceased by her beloved Ted in 1984, two sisters, three brothers and son-in-law Bert Fletcher. Following cremation, there will be a private interment at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate Melbas life will be held at St. Pauls Anglican Church in Dauphin, MB on Monday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. The Reverends, Paul and Ann Crossland will officiate. If friends so desire, a contribution may be made to St. Pauls Anglican Church or a charity of your choice. The Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service have care of the arrangements.
