STEVE OLEKSEWYCZ Peacefully in his sleep Steve Oleksewycz, dearly beloved husband of Anne passed away at the Riverview Health Centre. Steve leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Anne of 45 years; son Allan, wife Debbie; grandsons, Sean, Drew and Christopher. Steve was predeceased by his sons, Mernie Kozie on Monday, February 21, 2002 and Joey Kozie on Wednesday, August 10, 1994. He immigrated to Canada at an early age from the Ukraine. Steve was employed with Ready Foods, retiring in 1983. His main priorities in life were his family, and his church. Steve loved them both with all his heart. He was a man of character, and when you met Steve you had a friend for life. Panakhyda will be sung on Friday, March 1 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment will follow at the Tyndall Cemetery, Tyndall, MB. The family would like to thank Dr. Husarewycz for all his care, and to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for all their wonderful care and support.
