WARREN JEFFREY SWAN With his loving family by his side at the age of 73, Warren passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit on February 25, 2002 Warren was born on August 12, 1928 and resided in Manitoba his entire life. He was predeceased by his loving first wife of 40 years Mary Louise, his parents, brothers James, George, and John, sisters Betsy Martel and Isabel Procter. Warren leaves to mourn his beloved wife Laura, daughter Janice (Jim), son David, Marleen (Robert), Linda (Bill), Albert, Louis (Brenda) grandchildren, Lesley, Trevor, Chris (Lisa), Jeffrey, Andrew, Kevin, Robert (Mia), Lee (Lindsay), Stacey, Billy, Brittani, Emily, Mary, Brenda, Eddy and Katrina; great-grandson Gage and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Warren worked in the meat packing industry in St. Boniface for many years, primarily at Best Beef Inc. In his spare time grandpa enjoyed playing the drums for several local bands. Warren was a good standing member of the Ionic Lodge #25 and the West Kildonan Legion #30. The family would like to thank Dr. J. Kreml, Dr. S. Wong and all of the doctors, nurses and all of the caring staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. We would also like to thank Grandpas special nurses Melany and Val who came to his home to care for him. Thank you to his cousin Bert Rogers for all of his special help and support and also to Pete Gonczy for his friendship and care all the way through. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 1 at 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with funeral service on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Warrens memory to the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
