Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARENCE GORDON KEMP With regret, we announce the death of Clarence Gordon Kemp on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at the Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Lillian Kemp; and by his brother Raymond. Clarence is survived by his brother Arthur and his wife Elizabeth; sister Dorothy Lyons; sister-in-law Harriet Kemp; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Clarence was born in Winnipeg on January 3, 1929. His early life was spent in Winnipeg. In 1937 his father had a company transfer to Cochrane, ON. Clarence enjoyed the life style in a small town with the pleasures of swimming in the town lake, fishing, skating and trips into the forest areas. In 1943 the family was transferred back to Winnipeg where Clarence completed his education. Most of his working career was spent in Alberta. Some of his employers included Westinghouse, Ford Motor and Calgary Power. In 1989 he returned to Winnipeg to help an ailing parent where he resided until his passing. He always retained a keen interest in outdoor life. Appreciation is expressed to Dr. Arnott, doctors and staff of the 5th floor at the Grace Hospital and to the staff of Home Care Services - all provided caring and excellent support services. At Clarences request, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with the Rev. Ken Turnbull of St. Aidans Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace General Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
