KARL OTTO KOERNER 1928 - 2002 Peacefully, on February 26, 2002 Karl Otto Koerner passed away at HSC with his family by his side. Karl Otto is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ilse; his sister in Germany, Ursela Klockgether (Guenther) his brother-in-law Fritz Fieting; nephew Jens Fieting (Annette Ahlgren) and his great- nephew Ian Fieting. He was predeceased by both his parents. Karl Otto was born in Bremen, Germany on May 30, 1928. He immigrated with his young wife to Canada in 1953 making Winnipeg their home. Karl Otto enjoyed working on cars and going fishing to Pine Falls from the cabin at Hillside Beach. He retired from McNaught G. M. in 1992 as an autobody man. He was always proud of his workmanship. According to Karl Ottos wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Concordia, Misericordia and H.S.C for all their care and compassion, and the neighbours and friends that were there for me when I needed them.
