THERESA JULIA LOSTER (nee HUBER) 1908 - 2002 Peacefully Monday, March 4, 2002 Theresa Loster passed away at the age of 93, at Fred Douglas Lodge, with her family at her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Percy (Barb), Ken (Anita) and daughters, Edna (Stan) Globush, Ruby (Don) Bain, Doreen Little, Terri (Paul) Fortney; 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and sister Rose Rieger. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Anthony; sons, George and Tony; daughter Elsie Paley; and son-in-law George Little. Theresa was born in Chadnavitz, Romania on May 10, 1908; her family came to Canada when she was two and settled in Rosetown, SK. She married Anthony on January 4, 1927 and they raised their family together, residing in Bangor, SK, Red Lake, ON, and finally in Teulon, MB until Dads passing in 1985. Theresa lived in Teulon for 35 years until moving to Winnipeg in 1995. Mom was a simple woman; she lived her life that way, with an immense love of nature. Gardening and watching her flowers grow was one of her greatest pleasures. She spent many hours crocheting and every family member was presented with one of her completed treasures. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was something she always looked forward to. Natures first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leafs a flower: But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. Our deepest thanks to Lorraine and all the staff of Willow Unit at Fred Douglas Lodge for the wonderful care they provided to Mom over the last few years. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Rev. John Stennett will officiate, with interment to follow at Windsor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fred Douglas Lodge Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
