AUGUST HORNUNG It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gus: husband, father and friend on Monday, March 4, 2002 peacefully at home. Born in Grayson, SK June 14, 1923, he was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, and one sister. He is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Meagher) and his four children and their families, Sheila and Tony Lee, Adrienne - Winnipeg; Barbara and Clarence Kroeker - Vancouver; Brian and Carol Hornung, Paul, Ian and Erin - Winnipeg; Paul and Gale Hornung, Stephen and Heather - Edmonton. Gus served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War and lived in North Battleford, SK before settling in Winnipeg shortly after the war. He was a longterm employee of Canadian Westinghouse (Camco), a member of St. Alphonsus parish for 50 years, and, in retirement, enjoyed relaxing at Spruce Sands, making crafts in his workshop and fixing all things broken! His favourite times were with family, grandchildren and close friends. Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe Avenue and Brazier Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m., also at the Church, with Brother Jorge Villegas, OF.M. Cap. officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Guss memory to the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba, 1-333 Vaughan St. Winnipeg. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
