HAZEL LILLIAN DEDERICK (nee BRUNE) Hazel Lillian Dederick (nee Brune), formerly of Winnipeg, peacefully on March 9, 2002 at the age of 89 years in St. Pauls Hospital, Vancouver with her loving family at her bedside. Predeceased by her husband Norbert (Buster) in 1963 and her sister Thelma in 1923, she is survived by her son Colin (Grace) daughters, Denise and Nadine; grandson Justin; sister Dorothy Kearns of Ottawa; brother Lawrence (Lois) of Courtney; nieces, Sharon, Lisa and Darlene; nephews, Michael, Lornie and Karl and many other cousins and friends. Hazel was active in bowling and curling. She was President of the CWL (Ladies of St. Anne) of the Immaculate Conception Church and Secretary/Treasurer with the North Winnipeg YMCA and volunteer to a great many other organizations. The family wishes to thank the compassionate and caring staff, volunteers and patients, Ed, Bob and Sylvia at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Pauls Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palliative Care Unit, St. Pauls Hospital, 1081 Burrard St., Vancouver, BC, V6Z 1Y6. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 12 in Guardian Angels Parish, 1161 Broughton St., Vancouver. "Beyond the sunset - a glad re-union." Kearney Funeral Services 604-736-0268
