ARTHUR LEONARD RAYMOND FAGNAN September 14, 1932 - March 8, 2002 Birth Place: Pine Creek Reserve in Camperville, MB. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grand-father at age 69 in Bird, MB. Art worked for CNR previously moving to Gillam. He moved to Gillam in 1967 and worked for Manitoba Hydro as a Teamster for several years. He then worked for LGD of Gillam for many years until he retired in 1998. Art loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved playing Bingo. He leaves to mourn his common-law wife of many years, Lillian Neckoway and their two sons, Darryl Neckoway and Leonard Neckoway (Samantha), stepdaughter and sons, Debbie Spence (Simeon), Raymond Neckoway (Charlotte), his daughters and sons, Marion Fagnan, Robert Fagnan (Freda), Karen Thompson (Doug), Nana-Gale Fagnan (Ray), Randolph Fagnan and Mark Sawchuk (Renee). Art was predeceased by his parents, John and Pauline, daughter Joan Fagnan, son Leonard Fagnan and brothers, Charlie and Norman and two sisters, Fayette and Verna. Brothers that he left behind are Alec Fagnan who resides in Swan River, Joe Fagnan in Camperville and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr with wake to follow. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg. He had a cheery smile, a pleasant way, A helping hand to all he knew; He was so kind, so generous and true. On earth he nobly did his best Grand him, Jesus, heavenly rest.
