KEITH POTTINGER May 10, 1949 - March 11, 2002 Peacefully with his wife by his side on Monday, March 11, 2002 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Keith Pottinger, at the age of 52 years, passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Donna and his two beautiful daughters who he loved greatly, Charlotte (Brad) and Angela (Adam) also son Raynard and daughter Charmaine; mother Virginia; siblings, Bruce, Don, Kirk, Randy, Paul, Brenda, Edith, Carol; mother-in-law Bernice Thordarson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Wayne Isbister, Debbie and John Medwid; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, and a lot of good friends. Keith was predeceased by his father George Pottinger, nephew Jason Pottinger and father-in-law Victor Thordarson. With his sense of humour and mechanical talent that everyone knew him for and that he had since the day he was born at Eriksdale on May 10, 1949, he was truly a wonderful friend, husband, father and poppa. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Ted Hicks will officiate, with interment to follow at the Stonewall Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Emms, Lou Henderson, Bill Morrow, Gary Outhwaite, Bob Hutchinson, Larry Friesen, Jack McDonald, Marvin Marcenuik, and anyone who was a close friend to Keith. Special thanks to Dr. Harris of Oncology, the many nurses at the Grace General Hospital, and the home care ladies. Keith will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Grace General Hospital, Winnipeg. Mackenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
