AGNES SAQUET On Sunday, March 10, 2002 at the Ste. Rose General Hospital, Agnes Emma Saquet (nee Deremiens) age 78 years passed away after a brief illness. She will be sadly missed by her children, Odile (Ron) Wolff of Dauphin, MB, Jeanne (Vijay) Soondarsingh of Oakville, ON, Paul (Sonja Wetter) Saquet of Laurier, MB, Cecile (Emile) Paradis of Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, Lucille (Daniel) Brunen of Vancouver, BC, Michel Saquet of Oakville; her grandchildren, Jason Wolff and Allison (Mark) McEwing, Rishi, Devi and Shiva Soondarsingh, Gilbert, Denis and Nicole Saquet, Christopher and Rachel Paradis, Celina, Natalie and Stephanie Brunen and one great-grandchild Joseph McEwing. She is also survived by four sisters, Rita (John) Callarec of Dauphin, Paulette Langlois of Virden, Therese Deremiens and Lydia Deremiens both of Winnipeg; her three brothers, Joseph Deremiens, Guy Deremiens both of Laurier and Octave (Marge) Deremiens of Carmen, MB; brothers-in-law, Ronald Theoret (Sandra) of Ste. Rose du Lac and Louis (Alice) Saquet of Laurier; sister-in-law Aimee (Saquet) MacDonald of St. Boniface as well as numerous relatives. Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Andre in 1995, an infant daughter Louise, her parents, Edouard and Bertha (Henuset) Deremiens and a sister Rosalie Theoret. Agnes was involved in various aspects of the community among which were 4-H Club, Laurier Homecoming, Reflexions Committee, Ste. Rose Public Library Board, Turtle River Arts Festival and le Comite Culturel. She also looked after the catering of events for numerous years and shared in the responsibilities of parish activities. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Eglise Notre Dames des Victoires, Laurier, MB. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Eglise Notre Dames des Victoires, Laurier with interment to follow at the Laurier Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Fund at the Ste. Rose General Hospital or to the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB. Dobchuk Funeral Home, McCreary entrusted with arrangements.
