DR. SIDNEY GOLFMAN 1914 - 2002 With deepest sorrow, the family of Dr. Sidney Golfman announces his peaceful passing on March 13, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Sidney, born in Winnipeg, January 15, 1914, was the son of Clara and Samuel and loving husband of 56 years to Eleanor (Dolly) who predeceased him on April 25, 1994. Sidney was a prominent medical doctor practicing for more than 40 years. He began his medical career in Punnichy, SK where he worked as the country doctor for the region. He moved back to Winnipeg with his family in 1949 and continued his practice where he delivered thousands of babies. Sidney is survived by his children, Richard and Linda who reside in Colorado and Florida and Chuck and Roz who reside in Winnipeg. He was a devoted Grandfather to Jeff, Lisa and Steven, Jill, Michelle, Britt and Michael and Great-Grandfather to Nathan, Alex and Summer. Sid and Dolly were also surrogate parents to Anthony, Simon and Tracy Robinson. Sidney lived an active life of travel, golf, fishing, bridge and summers at Winnipeg Beach.
