LORNA MARY LAMONT It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lorna Mary Lamont, aged 68 years, on Thursday, March 14, 2002. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Lorne; and children, Brian (Laurie), Donna Mae (Jim), Bruce (Lori), Greg (Arlette). Grandchildren, Tara, Christopher (Amber), Kevin, Noah; and her new great-granddaughters, Kristina and Adanna. She is also survived by her sister Doreen; and brother Bill (Lillian) brothers-in-law, Don (Lise), and Hugh (Diane) special nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her father and mother Jim and Lillian Jack. Lorna was born and raised in Ridgeville, MB. She attended Normal School and dedicated her life to teaching children. She taught for a short time at Monomento, Homewood, Greenridge and Dominion City. The best years of her teaching career were at the Glenway Colony. For 23 years she lived and loved the community she served. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Family gatherings and celebrations were special times for her, to have her family together. She was an excellent cook and gardener. Lorna and Lorne shared many happy times camping and golfing with the special people in her life. A dedicated member of the Dominion City community, she was well known for her love of nature and her sunny disposition. Everything flourished with Lornas special love and care. We wish to thank the Dominion Citys Fire Department and the Emersons Ambulance Service for their quick help. The nurses and doctors at Morris Hospital for their compassionate care. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the Dominion City United Church, Monday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations in Lornas memory may be made to the D.C. Rec Inc. or the Roseau Crossing Heritage Park. Funeral arrangement entrusted to the Wiebe Funeral Home in Altona, MB.
