LENNART TORE LINDGREN Peacefully, on Saturday, March 16, 2002, Lennart Lindgren passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 91 years. Len is survived by his son Arnold (Geraldine) Lindgren; grand-children, Cheryl Stilnicki, Tracey (Kevin) Anseeuw, Trevor Lindgren; great-grandchildren, Kristine and Patricia Fileccia, Samantha Stilnicki, Kyle and Eric Anseeuw; brother Seth Lindgren and numerous nieces and nephews in Sweden. He will also be sadly missed by his longtime special friend Dorothy Johnson and family and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife Helen in 1972; four brothers and two sisters who resided in Sweden. Len was born August 17, 1910 in Sweden and came to Canada in 1927. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending summers at his cottage at West Hawk Lake and curling in the winter. Len had his own business as a painter and decorator most of his life and then worked for a few years prior to retirement for The City of Winnipeg Parks Board. He was an active member of Vasa Lodge, Past-President and Honorary life member of West Kildonan Curling Club and associated member of the Seniors Fort Rouge Curling Club. The family would like to thank the staff on the 5th floor at Victoria General Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Reverend R. Long officiating.
