ANN SUSINSKI (nee BOSNICK) August 18, 1933 - March 15, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce that Ann Susinski, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on March 15, 2002, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ann is survived by her husband Stan of 42 years; children, Cheryl (Sue), Julie (Lou) and Bill (Elizan) and grandchildren, Stephanie, Angela, Christopher and Sara. She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters, Eli, Sam, Ted, Bill, Elena, George, Sara, Rod, Martha and Ned, their families and many dear friends. Ann was born in Hearst, ON on August 18, 1933. In 1955 she received her Registered Nursing diploma from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in London, ON. She met Stan in Vancouver and together they moved to Winnipeg where they were married in 1959. She devoted considerable time and attention to raising her three children and also worked part time at the Health Sciences Centre and in a number of voluntary pursuits including serving as the President of the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Arthritis Society. In 1981 they moved to Edmonton where Ann worked at the Misericordia Hospital until she retired. Ann was a woman who inspired those close to her with her strength, energy and caring and gave willingly of herself to family and friends alike. She was filled with a great love of nature, the outdoors and literature and was an amazing cook. She was an avid competitor who enjoyed tennis, hiking, bridge and cross-county skiing. At Anns request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19 at St. Georges Anglican Church, 11733 - 87 Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made in Anns name to the Cross Cancer Institute. We would like to thank our extended family, friends and all of Anns healthcare providers for their support and caring during this time. We love you Mom and will miss you. May you rest in peace.
