MARIE-ANGE CHARETTE (nee ELEMOND) Mrs. Marie-Ange Charette (nee Elemond) passed over peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the age of 89 years. Marie-Ange leaves to mourn her loving family Mignonette Normand, Claude and wife Loraine Charette, Simone Girouard, Cecil Giesbrecht, David and wife Cheryl Charette, Leona and husband Bill Konowalchuk, Aline and husband Bruce Marsolais; and many grand and great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sister Sophie Gobin and sister-in-law Bertine Nault; many nieces and nephews. Marie-Ange was predeceased by her husband George Frederick Charette in 1980 and her sons and daughters, Lucien, Germain, Louis Philippe, Agathe Nault, Jean, Yvonne, Nerie, Frank, Edward, Mario, Benjamin, Marcel, Onorus; grandson Celestin Charette; sons-in-law, George Girouard, Lloyd Giesbrecht and Alex Norman; sisters, Olivine Turenne, Rosanne and forever loving sister Alice Dejarlais, whom she loved and missed so much. When the Lord sent our mother to earth, He left the gates opened for her return. As she walked the circle of life, she gave a part of herself to all she met. She fed us when we were hungry, prayed for us when we were in need and gave us unconditional love. The burdens she encountered were overshadowed by the love she kept in her heart for all her children. Today she completed her journey and is back in the arms of the Lord. When our time comes to cross over, Mother will be standing at the gates with her arms opened to welcome us into the home of our Lord. Mother, your memories will live with us forever and our prayers are with you. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21 in the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc St., with Fr. Lucien Roy presiding. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Giesbrecht, Eugene Girouard, Edward Girouard, David Nault, Greg Charette and George Konowalchuk. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.
