EVELYN DALLAS (nee JOHNSTON) Peacefully, on Sunday, March 17, 2002, Evelyn Dallas passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 90. Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph in 1995; as well as her siblings, George Johnston, Gladys Arnold, Isobel Fellowes and Muriel Campbell. She will be lovingly remembered by her three sisters, Lillian Barker, Adeline Dawson and Mildred Beggs (Jack). She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was born in Winnipeg into a large family. She shared many happy memories growing up with her brother and six sisters. As a young girl she was very active and a proud member of a womens softball team. She attended business college and was employed by Canadian News until she met the love of her life, her husband Ralph. They married in 1942 and had the good fortune of sharing over 50 happy years together. Evelyn enjoyed traveling with Ralph to visit family in Ontario and to attend baseball games in Minneapolis. She was an excellent homemaker and took great pride in caring for her home and lovely summer gardens. Her independent spirit, and the kindness of neighbours, enabled her to remain in the home she so loved until recently, when she became a resident of Maples Personal Care Home. Special thanks are extended to the Bryce and Courchaine families. Evelyn was a loving, caring and devoted wife, sister and aunt. She was always concerned about the well being of her siblings and their families. She cared for her nieces and nephews in a very special way. With respect to Evelyns wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at Brookside Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice. We love you Auntie Eva and we will miss you. Rest in Peace CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
