Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE CAROLINE KLEIN (nee SCHAEFER) April 9, 1920 - March 17, 2002 Peacefully on March 17, 2002 Elsie Klein passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Elsie was born in Broadview, SK on April 9, 1920. She was predeceased by her son Robert Brian in 1967, mother and father, Martin and Theresa Schaefer, brothers, Henry, Carl, sisters, Helen and Gertrude. In her younger years Elsie worked at various jobs and later moving to the Lac Du Bonnet area to enjoy her home at Sunset Bay. Elsie loved cooking for her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Fred; son Bill (Myrt) grandchildren, Debbie (Randy) Simpson, Bob (Nicole) step-grandchildren, Ramona, Warren (Lisa) Tkachuk; one great-grandson Casey Dean Simpson and sister Esther Whitford. Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
