GUENTER PASLAT It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Guenter Paslat on Monday, March 18, 2002 at the age of 68 years. Guenter was pre-deceased by his mother and father, Herta and August Paslat. Guenter leaves to cherish his memory, his son Garry (Nancy) grandchildren, Stephanie and Scott; his best friend and loving companion Trudy Smith as well as her loving and caring family. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister Christa (Don) Cameron from Medicine Hat; his uncle Gustav and aunt Edith, aunt Else and uncle Dolfee from Germany; also many cousins, nieces, nephews, and caring friends and neighbours. Guenter was born in East Prussia (Germany) and moved to Canada together with his parents and sister in 1956. He worked as a painter until he retired. Guenter was always committed to excellent work. He loved his five-pin bowling at Mosienkos and the many friends he made. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing at McArthur Falls, long walks at Birds Hill and Kilcona Park, and being at Gull Lake with the gang. Guenter was full of life and was always willing to help out anyone who needed it. He was very involved in St. Lukes Lutheran Church and looked forward to the fellowship and friendships there. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22, at St. Lukes Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips St., Winnipeg, MB. Viewing will begin one-half hour prior to the service time. Pallbearers will be Wilfred Kleinholz, Dennis Duchon, Dennis Terleski, Wolf Paslat, Don Zebinski, Tommy Pentek.
