LOUIS HASKELL Louis Haskell, beloved husband of Pauline for over 44 years, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on Tuesday, February 26, 2002. Lou was predeceased by his parents Jenny and Hyman and brother Max. Lou graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B.A. He worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs until his retirement in 1991. A trip to Israel with a JNF tour was a dream come true. There he met with relatives - some for the first time. He possessed a keen interest in genealogy. Lous love of reading gave him many pleasurable hours. Often he could be found reading in the Centennial Library. He had a zest for life. Integrity, honesty and high principles defined his character. In his association with others, he was always sensitive to their feelings. When he played bridge at the Gwen Sector Creative Living Centre, it was the personal contact that he enjoyed the most. I wish to express a special thank you to Doug Longstaffe, Lorraine Mocarski, and the E.R. staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their concern and caring at this difficult time.
