MANYA FEDER

MANYA FEDER Born in Odessa, 77 years ago, died Monday, March 18, 2002, in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Sam Feder and the beloved mother of Sandra Earn, Dr. Alex Feder, and Katya Feder. She was also a babba like no other to Shane, David and Darren Earn; Sausha and Reese Feder; and Isaac, Sarah Manya and Sam McKeague. She was the colourful mother in law of Sheldon Earn, Ricki Feder, and Paul McKeague. Her family grieves her loss and still can hardly believe she is gone. She was a huge presence and utterly unique on this earth. No one who ever knew her will forget her. She is irreplaceable and the world seems a smaller place without her, but she will live on in the hearts of her family, her many friends, and of course her fellow poker players. Her family is extremely grateful for the attentive care Manya received at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital. We would like to sincerely thank Dr. James Johnston for his compassion, expertise and unfailing support over the years. Thanks also to Dr. David Meyrowitz. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Health Sciences Centre, H4 Ward. The family will be sitting Shiva at her home until Friday evening March 22.
