LANGAN KUKELKO Words cannot express the sorrow felt today. We have lost a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Langan (Lang), aged 86 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2002 at the Victoria Hospital following a lengthy illness which spanned the last 10 years. Lang will be especially missed by his wife Erna, son William, daughter-in-law Judy, and grandchildren, Jared and Jennifer. Besides his wife and family he is survived by two sisters, Mary Beilko and Nellie MacArthur; brothers, Calvin (Jean) and Joe (Dorothy) sister-in-law Freda (Bob) Blanco; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends Edward Kernaghan and Shirley Nicholson. He was predeceased by sisters, Ann, Stella and Jean; and brother Frank. Lang was employed at Dominion Tanners, Silpit Industries and lastly as an orderly at the Victoria General Hospital retiring in June 1984. Lang will be remembered for his kind and caring spirit and his special quality of showing empathy to those who were ill. He was a devoted grandfather to both Jared and Jennifer and spent many hours with Jared on their imaginary trips to the moon. Lang was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in 1952 and firmly believed in Jehovahs promise of the resurrection. In his younger years he shared that hope with others. Special thanks to all the home care staff who cared for Lang at home, the Central Park Lodge and nursing staff of 5 South Victoria Hospital. Lang you crazy joker we are all going to miss you. Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Chapels, 669 Broadway with Mr. Orest Allison presiding. Cremation has taken place. The service will terminate at the chapels.
