Predeceased by her husband Clarence, she leaves to celebrate her life eight grandchildren, Kelly Townsend (Don Freeman) of Errington, BC, Jeff (Rena) Townsend of Gulf Breeze, FL, Kathy Rysiew (Glenn Avent) of Tucson, AZ, Patrick Rysiew (Cindy Holder) of Vancouver and Victoria, BC, Robbie (Minou) Rysiew of Athens, GA, Jonathan (Jennifer) MacQueen of New York City and Skye MacQueen of Pensacola, FL. Dear great-grandmother Jean will be missed by her nine great-grandchildren, Eryn, Jessica, Eli, Jordon, Bradley, Meredith, Kaila, Nolan and Joshua. Ferne Watson of Winnipeg will remember her as a dear sister and friend. Mom grew up in the Pilot Mound area of Manitoba and raised her family in Winnipeg and Brandon before retiring to Oak Bay in Victoria, BC. Her full life found her working for many years as a supervisor with the Manitoba Telephone System and her interests included painting, arts and crafts, CGIT and gardening. Her family was her best-loved and most creative garden. The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Richard Nuttall and the caring staff at the Victoria General and Royal Jubilee Hospitals. A private family memorial service was held on St. Patricks Day. May God hold you in the hollow of His Hand dear Jeannie. McCALLS OF VICTORIA (250) 385-4465
