THURIDUR (THURA) McNAUGHTON (nee ISFELD) With the passing on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, Thuridur McNaughton (Isfeld) at Betel Home Foundation, Selkirk, one chapter of the Isfeld family has closed. She was born September 11, 1901 to Einar and Jonina Isfeld of Big Point. She grew up as a part of a large loving family of 13 which proved to be the training ground for the way she was to live her life. Although she and her husband James McNaughton were never blessed with children, she became the fairy godmother of many. No one knows how many mitts, stockings and whole outfits were knit or how many children wore them. She ran a Bed and Breakfast, before it was vogue, to the many who came from the country to be in or visit the hospital or doctor, her door didnt close. Since the passing of her sister Anna in 1996, Thura has only gone through the motions. She has longed to be with her own family especially her beloved "Mac". So with sadness we say "so long" to a special "Auntie" cum mother and grandmother. You will be missed but in joy we say thank you to our Lord who has taken you home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey St. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
