Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRED SHAUMAN December 1, 1919 - March 25, 2002 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease, Dad passed away at the age of 82 years at the Pinawa Hospital. Fred will be sadly missed by his wife Evelyn of 43 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Ellen LAbbee and Janice Shauman; son Martin (Jodi) Shauman and grandchildren, Anesa, Linette, Devin and Madyson. He will also be remembered by his sister Gloria (Mike) Zaretski as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Eddy; infant son Fredrick; parents, Andrew and Otilia and sisters, Alice and Clara. Dad was born on December 1, 1919 in Lettonia, MB. He grew up and farmed in the Bird River area. He married Evelyn Keen on August 2, 1958 and together they raised a family and resided on the family farm. Farming was Dads life and he took great pride in it. He continued up until his health allowed. In addition to farming, he also did a lot of work in the Bird River area with his D7 Cat and fought numerous forest fires. In his later years, he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 253 McArthur, Lac du Bonnet, MB. Interment will follow in the Bird River Cemetery.
