Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH MARY CUTLER On Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at the Victoria Hospital, Edith Cutler, 88 years of age, passed away after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband George Hughes Cutler in 1960. She is survived by sons, Bud (Linda), Tom (Nancy) and Dave (Shawn) four grandchildren, Jodi (Ron) Gusek, Tanis (Jeff) Blocka, Michael and Corinne, and two great-grandchildren, Allysa and Aiden Blocka. Family meant a lot to Mom, and she loved to share stories and pictures of her family with everybody. Ediths other joys in life were gardening and playing cards. Her home and garden were full of plants that she lovingly nurtured. Any chance she got, Edith would gather partners for an afternoon of bridge. In her early retirement years, Edith remained active as a volunteer in her community. She was president of the Fort Garry Seniors Club for many years, and initiated and operated a Seniors Bridge Club. She was instrumental in establishing a seniors bus service with the local Legion. Edith also helped establish a seniors swimming program. Chronic health problems slowed Edith in recent years, but she loved to socialize, and continued to help others as much as she could. The family thanks Ediths home care workers for their aid in recent years, and the staff of Unit 5 at the Victoria Hospital for their care during her recent illness. A special thank-you to Dr. Robyn Olson for her care and support through all the years. A memorial service will be held for Edith on Friday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Moms memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
