Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEGGY JEAN DELANEY Peggy passed away on March 25, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her father and mother, Doug and Audrey Delaney; her sister Nancy and brother-in-law Brett Porth and her sister Marney and brother-in-law Zane Kushniryk. Peggy was born in Winnipeg on August 16, 1957. She was employed with the Winnipeg Police Service for the past 21 years, being promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in 1997. She was actively involved in both Dragon Boat Races and Slow Pitch Ball. She loved her garden, playing golf, and spending time with her family and friends. Peggy was a great inspiration to those who were dealing with breast cancer and her many friends whose friendship she thought a lot of. The family would like to give a special thanks to Devon, Don, Steve, Leanne and Gaby, was well as to Dr. Bowman and Dr. Krahn for their wonderful care and for being there when she needed it. A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave., on April 3 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggys memory can be made to the Breast Cancer Centre of Hope, 691 Wolseley Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 1C3 through CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. I had a vivid dream about Peggy and wish to connect with someone who might have a picture of her. She was a friend of my parents when I was a little girl.
