SISTER DOROTHY (PRISCILLA) HILLS Sister Dorothy (Priscilla) Hills, of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, died on March 27, 2002 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston, ON. Born in Daysland, AB on June 16, 1915, Sister Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Albion and Catherine (Anderson) and by sisters, Alice (Tercier) and Eileen (Lang). Sister Dorothy taught school many years in Edmonton. After her retirement she generously opened Yale House, a group home in Winnipeg for developmentally challenged young men. After nearly 19 happy years in this ministry it became necessary for her to retire to the Motherhouse in Kingston. Sister will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, former pupils, her Yale House family, other friends, and by the members of her religious community. Resting at Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess St. Monday, April 1 from 2:00 p.m., the Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of Mary Mother of Compassion, Providence Motherhouse on April 2 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal St. Marys Cemetery, Kingston.
