Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM STANLEY WARD William, an avid outdoorsman and family man, 70 of Plano, TX. Born in Winnipeg, MB, on October 21, 1931. It is with great sadness we announce his passing on March 28, 2002 at 12:10 a.m. He died peacefully with Diane as a constant companion, and surrounded by his children. He was predeceased by his father William in 1961 and his mother Elizabeth in 1966, also by his sister Bernice. Dad was happiest when he was around his children and is survived by Bruce (Linda), Bryan (Jackie), Mark (Alejandra), Lynne (Chris), Billy "Will" (Jennifer), David and Matthew (Christina), as well as his wonderful grandchildren with whom he found great joy, Chrissy, John, Matthew, Jennifer, Bradley, Jared, Harrison, Jessie, Mason, Brett and Brandon. He is also survived by his two sisters, Gladys (Gordon) and Joan (Mike), as well as by three women who all loved him at different stages in life, Marie (mother of three children), Diane (mother of four children) and Virginia. Dad spent the majority of his career with Prudential Life Insurance Corp. and began his service as an Auditor. He advanced through several different positions in management and retired in 1997 as a Regional Field Manager. In his retirement, he spent his free time with the Plano Chapter of the Kiwanis Club, where he put in many volunteer hours for the community. Memorial services are to be held at St. Marys Anglican Church of which he was an active member, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2. Friends and acquaintances are warmly invited to attend. After the memorial, Williams ashes will be placed between his mother and father in Winnipeg at a later date. He will be forever loved and missed by family and friends.
