MICHAEL (MICKEY) WASYLOWSKI Suddenly on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the Concordia Hospital, Michael Wasylowski passed away at the age of 72 years. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years Aggie, children, Gail (Raymond) Litke, Chris (Tom) Handkamer, Zena Ollinik, and Michele (Wayne) Mezzo; grandchildren, Travis Litke, Amanda and Kate Ollinik, Kevin and Melissa Handkamer; sisters, Ruth, Elsie (Bernie), and Joyce; brothers, David (Louise), and John (Bette) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was born and raised in Fraserwood, MB. He worked with the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 for 38 years. Michael was proud of his band The Thunder River Boys which was together for over 40 years. After retirement, he enjoyed summers at the cottage in Matlock. Michael treasured his family especially Aggie and his music. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with Rev. Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michaels memory tot he Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
