Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA MAY GRIDLEY December 19, 1916 - March 29, 2002 Peacefully at Grace Hospital, at age 85, Emma has left us to join her beloved husband, William Gridley. She was also predeceased by her parents, Neil and Nellie McCalder; sisters, Lillian and Edna; brothers, Donald, Douglas, Alfred and Bill. Emma is survived by her brother Bob McCalder; sister Joyce Broadbent, and the many members of the McCalder and Gridley families. Emma grew up in St. James. In 1950 Emma and Bill moved to Ottawa where she worked for the Federal Government until her retirement. She was an avid golfer who did not hesitate to express her thoughts on world events. After Bills passing, Emma returned to live in Winnipeg and spent her final years at Lions Manor. The family would like to thank the staff and her friends at Lions Manor and the kind nursing staff on 3W of Grace Hospital for their support and care of Emma. At Emmas request, cremation has taken place. A memorial reception will be held in the Chapel at the Lions Personal Care Centre, 320 Sherbrook St. on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. Rest in Peace Aunty Emma THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
