Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELINOR SCOTT MARTENS The family wishes to announce that Elinor Martens passed away at the Grace General Hospital on Friday, March 29, 2002 after a long battle with cancer. Elinor was born on September 24, 1921, in Oakville, MB. She spent the last 35 years in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1994; her parents, John and Sarah Johnson; brother-in-law Wally Cameron; and by her nephew Michael Wegg in 2001. She leaves to mourn her passing her four sons, Richard (Gail) of Ottawa, ON, Harold (Barbara) of Portage la Prairie, MB, Frank (Mary) of Edmonton, AB, and Eric (Christine) of Toronto, ON; her brother Trueman Johnson (Mike) of Portage la Prairie; sister Lillian Cameron of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Marica Friesen (Rick) of Oakville, Robert Martens of Shoal Lake, MB, Michael Martens (Tracy) of Merritt, BC, Derek Martens of Ottawa, Jennifer Wegg of Edmonton, Sarah Martens of Toronto, Karen Martens of Toronto; great-granddaughter Alesha Martens of Merritt; in addition to many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the palliative care team at Grace Hospital for the guidance, support and loving care that they gave to Mom and family. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
