ALICE LAURA ROBINSON (nee SAVAGE)
Born: Aug 07, 1924
Date of Passing: Mar 31, 2002
Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE LAURA ROBINSON (nee SAVAGE) August 7, 1924 - March 31, 2002 Alice Laura Robinson passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2002, at the Health Sciences Centre. Alice leaves to cherish her memory Gord, Vicki, Jodie and Jim Kay of Sechelt, BC; the Vetters family, especially Jackie; and her good friend Lynn Suche. Alice was predeceased by her two children in infancy, a heartache she carried throughout her life; her parents Anne and Alexander Savage; and finally her beloved Arthur in November 1996. Alice and Art spent 51 years together and Alice never stopped missing Art. Alice worked for over 47 years before retiring in 1988. Her favourite job was working with dentist Dr. H. Tweed and they became lifelong friends. "Dr. Herb" held a special place in Alices heart and she missed him dearly when he passed away. Life was not always kind to Alice but she never complained about her troubles or her deteriorating health. She was a kind and gentle soul who cared deeply about her friends. After suffering with cancer, two strokes and the loss of her husband, Alice still said, "Im okay, there are lots of people out there who are a lot worse off than me." The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Wolseley 2 of the Misericordia Health Centre for making Alices final six months as happy and worry free as possible. Our gratitude is also extended to the nurses of GD3 and A5 Trauma at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion during Alices final few days. At Alices request there will be no funeral. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7, or the St. Amant Centre, 440 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2M 3Z9. We shared laughter and tears, sunshine and fears. You were a very special lady. Rest now, my friend. - Lynn BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
