Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA BOYKO Peacefully, on Saturday, March 30, 2002, Maria Boyko, aged 81 years of Winnipeg. Maria was born April 14, 1920 in Tomacziw, Kholm region of Western Ukraine. She came to Canada with her husband in 1948, settling first in Weekes, SK, later moving to Winnipeg in 1952. Prior to her retirement in 1973, she and her husband owned and managed Superite Foodmart Ltd. Maria was an active member of Sts. Vladmir and Olga Cathedral. Maria leaves to mourn her passing, son Markian of Edmonton; daughter Christina and husband Roman Worobec and grandchildren, Stephan and Lydia; son Zenon and wife Michelle and grandsons, Paul and Matthew; numerous nieces, nephews, and family in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ukraine. She was predeceased by her husband Dmytro in 1986; son Bohdan in 1947; two sisters, Olga and Nina; and brother Walter. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, also at the Cathedral. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
