PAUL COOK On Sunday, March 31, 2002, our beloved father passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 87. He will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Stella, and his daughters, Connie and son-in-law Larry, Paulette and son-in-law Sam. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Curtis and Clinton Butler (Jamie), Brendan and Colleen McConnell (Curtis Headland) and great-granddaughter Grace. He is survived by his brother Tom and family. Dad was a loving and gentle soul who loved and supported his family. He was a highly admired and respected man. Paul worked in the shoe industry for 60 years. He began his career with Canada West Shoe, continued on with Grebs and then was in partnership with the start of a new company, Canada West Shoe Ltd. Paul and Stella enjoyed many summers at their cottage with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many hours in his fishing boat. Paul and Stella spent part of their winter holidays cruising (13 in all). A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
