NANCY LYNN LILLEBO After a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Lynn passed away peacefully with her husband and children at her side at the St. Boniface Hospital on March 31, 2002. Predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Olive Adamson and brother Larry Adamson. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years Les Lillebo; son Kent; daughters, Shana (Lawrence), Jill (Adam) grandchildren, Corbyn, Caylin, Bren; sister Berna (John) brothers, Bob (Diane), Mark (Penny) as well as several nieces and nephews. Lynn was born April 30, 1945 in Kelvington, SK. After receiving her teaching degree in Brandon, MB, she married her high school sweetheart Les Lillebo. Lynn began her teaching career at Crestview School in Swan River, MB and later moving and making their home in Grosse Isle, MB. She taught at Edward E. Best in Stonewall, Principal at Rosser Elementary, Rock Lake Colony and retired out of Grosse Isle Elementary June 2000 teaching grade 4. Lynn treated her students as if they were her own children, often referring to them as "her kids". The schools were decorated for every occasion and all will remember having popcorn and hot chocolate on the first snowfall of winter. She dearly loved her grandchildren and they would often be seen standing on a chair baking cookies with their "Uhma" or snuggled up reading stories. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Mary Best will officiate. Interment will follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Grosse Isle. The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses and staff on 3B and Dr. Lotocki, Dr. Erhart, Dr. Heywood, Dr. Krepart and the staff at the Oncology Clinic. A special thank you is extended to Rosalind. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Cancer Research Foundation, 409 Tache St. Winnipeg, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
