Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADA ELLEN JANE EMMS Suddenly, with great sadness our dearly beloved wife, mother and grandmother Ada Ellen Jane Emms, aged 87 of Ideal, MB passed away peacefully in her sleep March 31, 2002 at the Lundar Personal Care Home. Ada was born July 28, 1914 to Ernest and Eliza Green of Oak Point, MB. Ada worked as a nanny and housekeeper in Oak Point until her marriage to Donald A. Emms of Ideal in 1940, where they farmed. When they retired, they remained on the farm until moving to Lundar. Leaving to mourn her passing, husband Donald Emms Sr.; five children, Ellen Cowie (Robert) of Oak Point, Joyce McKnight (Bill) of Oak Point, Ruth Cranstone (Jack) of Oakbank, Gail Perreault (Lyle) of Inwood, Donald Emms Jr. (Heather) of St. Laurent; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Ernest, Allan and Edward Green; and one sister-in-law Ida Green. Ada had great love for her flowers and animals - her little dog "Chico". Every summer she grew a wonderful garden. Mom was also an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved company and family get-togethers. She took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Inwood Community Hall. Rev. John Stennett will officiate with interment to follow at the Inwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bob Cowie, Dan McKnight, Tim McKnight, Glen McKnight, Martin Perreault and Joseph Perreault. Special thanks to Teulon Hospital and the health care workers, Dr. Burnet and all the caregivers in Lundar Personal Care Home who took such excellent care of Mom. Also all the home care ladies who cared for Mom before leaving home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lundar Personal Care Home Fund. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon, in care of arrangements.
