KATIE FEDORCHUK Peacefully in her sleep, Katie Fedorchuk, aged 87 years, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1966 and two daughters, Mary in 1988 and Jean in 2002. She is lovingly remembered by her son Donald and daughters, Lillian (Douglas), Josphine and Joan (Larry) her grandchildren, Douglas (Janet), Daniel (Kimberley), Mark, Neil, Lee (Curtis), Keith (Trudy), Jeffrey (Trina), Denise (Cameron), Tammy (Kent), Dawn (Evan), Dale, and Scott (Amanda) 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Katie was born in Berlo, MB on January 7, 1915 and lived all her life on the Ridge Road in the R.M. of Gimli. She loved to knit and made many sweaters for family and friends. She also loved to work in her vegetable and flower gardens. Prayers will be said on Monday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Gimli with Fr. Art Seaman and Sister Laviolette officiating. Interment in the Berlo Cemetery. Her grandsons will be her pallbearers. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Chapnick and all the staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital who mad Katies last days so comfortable.
