ELIZABETH MARY NOBISS (SINCLAIR)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH MARY NOBISS (nee SINCLAIR) Peacefully on April 3, 2002, at Concordia Hospital, Elizabeth passed away at age 83. Elizabeth was born in Stonewall on February 28, 1919 and moved to Winnipeg in 1959. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1974. They were married on December 31, 1935. Liz was also predeceased by her son Leonard in 1983; daughter Geraldine Nightingale in 1989; son-in-law Clifford Neumann in 1976; granddaughter Amanda Elizabeth Morrissette in 1980; brothers, Art, Gordon, Charlie and Walter; mother Kathleen; and father John. Elizabeth is survived by her nine children, Dennis (Phylis) of Edson, AB, Joan Romano (Bruce) of Pine Falls, MB, Janet Brash (Jim) of Delta, BC, Lillian Morrissette (Doug) of Wellwood, MB, Lionel (Linda) of Pine Falls, MB, Linda Smith (Peter) of Winnipeg, Terry (Donna) of Winnipeg, John of Winnipeg, and Barbara Neumann (Al Nightingale) of Selkirk; 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill, Rodney, Clifford and Raymond of Winnipeg; sister Irene of Vancouver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth lived a full life. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Liz loved to play bingo and sewed many quilts and knitted many mittens for her family. Liz spent her last year at River East Personal Care Home. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at River East Personal Care Home and all the staff on the 3rd floor at Concordia Hospital for the loving care of our beloved mother. Viewing 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 8 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9 at Bardal Funeral Home. Interment Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elizabeths grandsons, Dennis Nobiss Jr., Donald Smith, Tom Romano, Chris Tagg, Steven Nobiss and Tyler Neumann. Honourary pallbearers will be Jamie Smith, Daryl Nobiss, Tim Romano, Stewart Nobiss, Keith Tagg and Kevin Brash.
