GEORGE TESSIER After a courageous and lengthy battle with a terminal illness, George Tessier passed away at the age of 70, at Deer Lodge Centre on April 4, 2002. Georges memory will forever be cherished and he will be sadly missed by Fran, his wife of 48 years. He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Margaret Feakes of Winnipeg, Don and Marie Madge of Calgary and Georgie Coutts of Lethbridge and numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents. George served in the P.P.C.L.I., 2nd Battalion during the Korean War and was a longtime member of the Korean Veterans Association, Unit #17. He was employed by Winnipeg Hydro for 35 years and retired in July of 1988. At Georges request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Georges memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. You didnt deserve what you went through, and so towards the end, He gave you rest.
