WYMAN F. MOORE BTh., F.I.C.B. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wyman Moore on April 8, 2002, at the age of 61 years and after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched with his deep faith and positive spirit. All through his illness he praised God and affirmed the fact that "God is Good". Wyman has left his loving wife and best friend, Cathy; his children, David (Kendra) and Lisa; his stepchildren, Kenton Larsen and Janna Larsen; his grandchildren, Jordan and Shelby Moore; one brother Denzil (Doris) of Prince Edward Island; two sisters, Helen (Ivan) McCormick of Ontario, Irma of Prince Edward Island; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Eldon and Minnie Moore of Prince Edward Island; and a brother Tom of Ontario. Wyman was born January 6, 1941, in Victoria West, PEI. After completing Grade 12 in Summerside, he worked for CIBC for a short time and came to Winnipeg to pursue a degree in Theology at the Canadian Nazarene College. A serious bout with cancer in 1966 changed his plans to continue his studies and he again worked for CIBC until he retired in 1999. His many years with CIBC included work as Regional Manager of Human Resources and managing various branches, most recently the Norwood Branch. He made many friends and earned the respect of his fellow workers as he worked with honesty and integrity throughout his career. Wymans love for theology, the Bible and the Hymnal made him an excellent leader for a Gospel Mennonite Church CARE group. He loved to integrate church hymns into the studies and enjoyed playing hymns on the piano. The sound of the piano, his humour, his love and testimony of Gods love will be missed by his family and friends. Wymans family was of great importance and their achievements were a source of pride to him. There will be a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Bethel Mennonite Church, 870 Carter Ave., with Paster William Martens officiating. Interment will follow in Garry Memorial Park. Viewing to take place on Wednesday, April 10, 7:30 to 8:30, at Klassen Funeral Chapel and prior to the service Thursday, April 11 at Bethel Mennonite Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Goytan, Dr. Macsymiuk, the Home Care staff and the staff of the Riverview Health Centre for their loving care and understanding of human dignity. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
