RODOLPHE BONNEVILLE October 23, 1914 - April 9, 2002 Peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at St. Boniface Hospital, Rodolphe Bonneville passed away at the age of 87 years. Dad was predeceased by his wife Adrienne (Arnal) and granddaughter Lynne Vielfaure; his brothers, Arthur and Fernand Bonneville; his sisters, Regina Prive and Ceona Erne. He is survived by his nine children, Leo (Irene), Simone (Bernie) Penner, Yvette (Glenn) Hauser, Diane (Ken) Hykawy, Marcel (Jocelynne), Irene (Louis) Tetrault, Lorraine (Mike) Lagace, Raymond (Tracy), Nicole (Denis) Vielfaure. He also leaves to mourn his 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Blanche Audet of Regina, Hosanna Desharnais of Ponteix, SK, and Murielle Wernicke of Swift Current, SK. Dad was born in Ponteix, SK and in 1936 moved to Fannystelle, MB, where he worked as a farmhand, became part of the community and met his lovely wife Adrienne Arnal. In 1947 they moved to St. Boniface, where Dad apprenticed and became a journeyman carpenter. Dad enjoyed singing french folk songs and sang at the Festival du Voyageur on several occasions. Prayers will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 12 at 10:30 a.m. at lEglise du Precieux-Sang, 200 Kenny St., with viewing to precede at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6 or to the C.N.I.B., PO Box 34 Stn. Main, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9. The family wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of E4 Geriatric Ward of St. Boniface General Hospital who looked after Dad with compassion and dignity and made his last days as comfortable as possible.
