THEODORE "LAWRENCE" COUTURE October 23, 1911 - April 12, 2002 Born in Clandeboye, MB, Lawrence leaves Doris, his wife of 39 years; brother Donavan; sister Lorraine Hjartarson; brother-in-law Bill Skehar; numerous nieces and nephews. Lawrences and Doris extended family; Larry and Audrey Woychesen, Jody (Wendy and Loghan) Woychesen, Jan (Brooklyn) Woychesen, Jennifer (Drew, Justin and Branson) Griffin. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents Theodore and Helena; sister Katherine Skehar; brothers-in-law and sisters in law, Lefoy and Violet Bruneau, Jock and Marie Bennet; and nephews, Gordon Bennet and Bert Massey. Born in Clandeboye, MB. Lawrence served in the army in the Second World War for six years and was employed as a conservation officer with the government of Manitoba for 29 years. He was a life member of the Canadian Legion No. 42, the Army and Navy No. 151 and the Selkirk Marine Museum. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He travelled throughout the world, taking several cruises with his wife Doris. Lawrence and Doris spent many winters in Texas, Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Osooyos, BC. At Lawrences request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors on the medical ward at the Selkirk & District General Hospital. Donations in Lawrences memory may be sent to the Army and Navy No. 151, Selkirk & District General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or the charity of your choice.
