JONI RISAVY (nee KLASSEN) Peacefully, on Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre, Joni Risavy passed away at the age of 42. Left to mourn is her loving son Jayson, his dad (Alfie Risavy) her parents Arlene; Ike Klassen; long-time companion Charlie Ruggles; sister Cheryl (Len) Krystik; sister Kim Rakowski; and nephews, Tyler Krystik, Terence Rakowski and Travis Rakowski. For those who have had the pleasure of knowing Joni, knew that she was an extraordinarily strong, and loving person. She touched the lives of many, just as she touched ours. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Eight years ago Joni was blessed with a second chance of life, which allowed her to enjoy spending quality time with her friends and family at her second home Grand Beach. Our Angel, is now one of Gods Angels. Special thanks to Kelly, Stan Bardal, and Betty, Kevin Smith for all their support and loving care. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff on 6H. A celebration of Jonis life and passing will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jonis memory to the charity of ones choice.
